Tamarre Torchon was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. There she grew up fully immersed in rich Haitian culture. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she continues to share her culture, charisma, and passion for policies wherever she goes. Torchon is completing her degree in Public Policy from Georgia State University, her passion for helping others has always been an important contributor to the decisions she has made and will continue to make.

As Program Manager, HYRO allows her to help connect and strengthen the Haitian community and build leaders for the future. She is a legislative consultant at the Georgia State Capitol & District 39 and when free, she enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
